Just living the dream

Korea’s vaction spot: Jeju-Do

One of the most popular vacation spot in Korea is Jeju-Do (Do means island).  Located off the southern tip of Korea, Jeju usually has great weather, that is when it’s not being hit with typhoons.  Luckily we picked a weekend that was typhoon free to visit the island (both weekends around our visit the island was basically shut down because of Typhoons).  Nothing partially exciting happened on the trip but the island was very beautiful so I thought I would share some pics.

These are Samseonghyeol Shines, which are the mascot of the island.  The one I’m with at the top is one of the 45 originals left on the island and is over 250 years old.  The one that Sam is kissing is one of the hundreds of the newer ones that are found everywhere on the island.

One of our favorite things we did on Jeju.  Manjanggul lava tubes are over 13 km long, making it one of the longest lava tubes in the world.

…Well, see you later.
